Priorities:

·       Be cited in AI Overviews

·       Show up in multi-query fan-out summaries

·       Optimize Content for structure, clarity, and semantic depth

·       Use schema markup to help LLMs interpret Content

·       Focus on being included in answers, not just clickable links

Tools & Tactics to be cited in AI Overviews

·       Schema.org markup (e.g., FAQ Page, How To, Article)

·       Semantic keyword mapping (Answer the Public, People Also Ask) + semantic search optimization

·       Use of modular blocks: summaries, tables, Q&As, side-by-sides

·       Track AI citation visibility via Authoritas https://www.authoritas.com/, Diffbot https://www.diffbot.com/, and LLM prompt testing.

Schema is quietly failing for a lot of organizations

It validates. It deploys. It checks every box. And AI still bypasses you.

The reason? Schema isn’t the strategy. It’s the translation layer, and in the rush to scale over the past year, it seems people forgot that (IMHO).

AI systems don’t reward structure alone; they reward:

·      Clear, canonical entities

·      Defined relationships

·      Retrieval confidence

·      Reusable, answer-ready content

If your architecture is ambiguous, the schema just formalizes the confusion. We recently formalized the research we’ve been doing under a new GEO research and activation property, https://www.EO4.AI (Engine Optimization 4 AI). As we continue to expand, the goal is to give a “consumer face” to our RAG, MCP, and other research sites.

For our first project under https://www.EO4.ai, we developed an AI-assisted, entity-first schema process that:

·      Identifies and normalizes entities across your site

·      Builds a usable content knowledge graph

·      Automates advanced JSON-LD authorship

·      Runs AI confidence validation before deployment

·      Flags architectural mismatches that cause exclusion

Because the new failure mode in AI search isn’t ranking loss. It’s invisibility. Brands aren’t being demoted. They’re being bypassed.

Schema Research Project - Join Us

We saw this and took the time to look at why. We’re forming a small research cohort (3–5 institutions or brands) to refine and benchmark this system in live environments. Participants receive:

·      Full entity assessment

·      Custom schema + knowledge graph development

·      AI visibility diagnostics

·      Performance tracking

·      Founding-stage pricing (Discount)

In return, we’re asking for collaboration and participation in case studies. If AI search visibility matters to you and your organization, we’d love to have you in the pilot. The best thing to do is message me or respond here, and I’ll send you the framework overview.
